Pepper seasoned spatchcock poussin tonight. Currently simmering the remains for a spicy stock. Looking like some kind of jambalaya type thang tomorrow.

A chippy tea from The Creel in Portmaddock

The carer had haddock & chips and I had chicken & mushroom pie, chips, and IRISH curry sauce, very nice it was too!

Slow cooked lamb rump for me, with dolphin nose potatoes & seasonal veg, with an amazing *apple pie & cream for pud.

The carer had serloin steak & all the trimmings, with sticky toffee & custard fir pud.

*Apple pie 'pastry' was a cross between a crumble & cheesecake base....

Had a lovely Greek meal last night in Cheltenham after the races.

And unfortunately I couldn't have a full pudding due to my diabetes but I had a taste of my friend's Portokalopita. It was delicious but she was too tight to let me have more than two tiny spoonfuls 😂

Meant to post this the other day.

The International shop in Mill Street where I buy my warm samosas from is doing takeaway curry lunch boxes.

They'd run out of dumplings by the time I went in so they gave me vegetable curry as a side to my lamb curry.

Limited choice but nonetheless good sized portions, very tasty and good value.
