Does anyone know what's going on with Littleworth Post Office?

I went to post a package today and there is a notice on the door saying the post office counter is closed until further notice "due to unforeseen circumstances". I looked at the post office website and it is still listed as a branch, only with no opening hours.

The key question is, will it return, or am I doomed to have to journey all the way to WH Smith every time I need to send a parcel?

It's opening times have been rather haphazard for many months now, closed for a delivery, a hospital appointment or whatever other reason.
On Wednesday it was because of "the system down" though opening the next day was implied.
It's the only Post Office I know where packages aren't routinely weighed before a proof of posting is given. And on one occasion the £300 I withdrew was only weighed and not counted.
They're some distance away but I can't fault Charnley Road or Cannock Road Post Offices.
"Until further notice" meant over a year for Stone and Eccleshall, both much bigger places than Littleworth.

The Bargain Booze/The Local side of it appeared to be open, but as I was not in need of alcoholic refreshment at the time of visiting I didn't venture inside.

I've always had OK experiences with the Post Office there. On the other hand, I once tried to send some international parcels from Wolverhampton Road and the lad there seemed totally confused by the whole thing.

I stopped going there when the chap behind the counter said he couldn't do proof of postage receipts for postage bought on the RM website....
