Does anyone know..?......Just ask a question.

I've just replaced the gas regulator for the Shed. It's always been a little fiddly to get it to open the bottle valve, but it seems to have given up completely now - I couldn't even get any flow with the hose removed, so it's time for a new one. It was turned off whilst I was away and I suspect that the cam has finally worn that little bit too much. I doubt that a safe fix is possible, so the new one is fitted and all is well, my sausage roll is warming up as we speak.

Anyway, both on the box and in the instructions, it is stated that this new regulator should not be used in caravans, motor caravans and fresh-water boats.

I can see that boats are essentially floating caravans, in term of the layout and structure, etc., but why should it matter what sort of water they're floating on?

If it goes up at sea there is likely to be far less collateral damage than on a river or canal?

Mmm, it appears that it is simply because there is currently no legal requirement for sea-going vessels under 24m to have the same installation standards as inland vessels.

"Although mandatory for inland waterways craft, regulated by the UK Boat Safety Scheme (BSS), there is, surprisingly, no current UK-wide legal requirement for privately owned, sea-going cruising yachts under 24m to abide by the EU’s Recreational Craft Directive (RCD), or the UK’s equivalent (RCR)."

Presumably because they've spotted this question, YouTube has suggested I take this rather sweeping advice on board (hah!).

Does anyone know the best/cheapest way to send parcels?

I have always previously just gone to The Post Office but I’m aware that there might be cheaper options available.

I’ve just had a quick look at Evri, (Hermes) although I understand that they are not so reliable, however the recipient of parcel can collect at a time to suit themselves I believe.

Any recommendations?

I don't think Royal Mail's £3.49 for a parcel of up to 2kg and no bigger than 45 x 35 x 16cm is bad value.

Does anyone know of anywhere I can easily print out a returns label from an email, that's not the library?

There's no qr code, just a barcode.

I usually use Evri/yodel where I can go to a local shop & print out the label on their machine with a qr code, but this won't allow me to use those services....it insisted on sending me a email with 2 labels on,both with barcodes.

We‘re thinking of joining the Odeon Cinema Limitless thing where you pay annually but you can go as many times as you like.

Were just deciding between Limitless and Limitless Plus but looking at the details I’m a bit confused.

Does anyone know if we buy Limitless then we can’t sit in a recliner seat? It refers to recliner upgrades but I don’t really know what they mean exactly.

Does it work out cheaper than heating the house during the winter ?

You might have a point there!

Actually, I was just looking at a film that I might have wanted to see. Tickets were £19 each!
I hadn’t realised that the cinema had got so expensive.

If we buy an annual ticket and only go once a month we’re quids in.
But we might go weekly and have a regular cinema night.

Do you get any discounts from your mobile provider? Three for £3 Cineworld tickets once a week, so we've been to Telford the last 2 weekends.

Thats a really good deal, although we wouldn’t particularly want to travel to Telford.

This deal works out at £12 per month with unlimited viewing so we think its a good offer.
