What i really like is, the fact that everyone realises how ridiculous the concept of a god really is, as soon as someone actually claims to be one!

It is not, with the evidence available, possible to prove either and 2 also runs up against the difficulty of proving negatives. Therefore both are beliefs not facts and you cannot know either only believe in the one of your choice.

I choose to believe in the absence of god, due to the amount of compelling evidence for his/her/its/their existence. I am happy to change this stance should I meet one.

I, on the other hand, am unable to believe in the presence of god, on account of the absence of evidence.

I don't see that as a choice or a belief - it is what it is (or isn't).

If any God(s) wish to make themselves more apparent, i too will be happy to meet them. Perhaps for tea?
